Sending out a huge thankyou to everyone who donated to our Aviva Community Fund Garrison project recently which has now finished and raised a whopping £3525.00 for Helping Homeless Veterans UK. On top of our ESFA Grant of £20,000 towards this project we are now moving forward into the next stage so that we are ready to begin the project with Veterans the beginning of November.
Whilst this may not be housing Veterans which will always be our number one remit this project will help so many veterans who maybe struggling with isolation or mental health. This project will bring these Veterans to us so we can address any issues they maybe facing as well as give them the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications and work experience in the mechanical trade which will hopefully lead to full time employment. This is all part of believing that prevention is the best cure for those Veterans who maybe struggling but can now actually see a light at the end of the tunnel.
